is accessible from Neral by a mini train such
as ones on Kalka - Shimla
Route and in Darjeeling.
Matheran has an access as a weekend
getaway ex-Mumbai (110 kms) or Ex-Pune (140 kms)
either by Road or via Neral Station (11 kms).
Almost nothing has changed over the years. The
beauty of Matheran is still untouched
by time and unspoiled by civilisation. The vehicles
used here are horses and hand carts. Matheran
is strictly for those who can enjoy a little walks,
